TAMALE YOUTH PETITION TTH OVER NON FUNCTIONING CT SCAN

Some youth of Tamale have petitioned the management of Tamale Teaching Hospital over the non functioning of the hospital’s CT Scan.

The youth say the all important machine has not been working for months, compelling patients to travel as far as Techiman in the Bono East Region to access CT Scan services.

The development, according to the petitioners, has resulted in many untimely deaths at the hospital.

“The CT Scan at TTH has been dysfunctional for months now. This has resulted in the untimely deaths of patients who required this services as a matter of urgency” the petition stated.

According to the concern youth, TTH, the hospital that serves as the referral hospital for the five northern regions is under-managed.

The Youth have thus, given management a two-week period to fix the CT Scan or they would stage a peaceful protest to express their displeasure.

“If they do not resolve the issue, we will hold a peaceful protest to express our displeasure. Our lives are valuable, and the place where we seek medical attention should not be a death trap for us” the petition added.
