A Chinese naval hospital ship, Auspicious Ark (Hull 868), has arrived in Ghana to provide free medical treatment, including surgeries, to the public. 🇨🇳 🇬🇭
The ship docked at Tema Port on Friday, October 23, 2026, at approximately 9:50 AM.
The seven-day mission, running until October 30, will offer medical consultations, dental care, eye treatment, laboratory tests and surgical services.
The ship has over 100 hospital beds and eight operating theatres. It is part of China’s Mission Harmony 2026, aimed at providing medical support to African countries.
Ghanaians seeking free treatment are advised to visit designated screening centres at the Eastern Naval Command in Tema for referrals.
