The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta has recently raised massive concerns amongst Ghanaians after he unexpectedly revealed another unexpected secret about the money involved in the most debated National Cathedral saga amongst other related issues.
Speaking in a recent interview on Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta unexpectedly defended Akufo Addo’s initiative to move forward with the construction of the National Cathedral irrespective of the countless complaints made by Ghanaians.
In addition to this, Ken Ofori Atta took the opportunity to reveal the huge sums of money the government has spent so far in terms of developing the country amidst the construction of the National Cathedral aside highlighting that, the country cannot grow and sustain our transformation without spirituality.

“There are three pillars to nation-building with regards to political independence, the second one is sort of investment and trade and to get into inti economic emancipation. We already have these two pillars; the third has to be spirituality. We cannot grow and sustain our transformation without spirituality. We even questioned when we were going to parliament whether we had the resources to do free SHS. The government had spent over Ghc 30 billion in terms of our expenditure. This year, we are spending about Ghc 25 million on the National Cathedral which is one-thousand of what we do”, Ken Ofori Atta emphatically revealed.
