Two People Arrested for Electoral Fraud in Less than 48 Hours

Read Time: 2 minutes

Thanks to the #EAGLEEYES of NDC executives and members across the country, in less than 48 hours two people have been arrested on account of electoral fraud.

One was arrested in Nsawam in the Eastern region in relation to stolen BVD.

Ignore the statement issued by the Electoral Commission regarding the BVDs in the hands of criminals who are determined to hang onto power at all cost.

If thieves can steal BVDs, why can’t they steal SD cards? Also, the criminal network can have access to credentials that make the device useful.

The assurances of the EC are not enough!

Moreover, there are several security and data concerns surrounding the missing BVDs.What if the stolen BVDs were specimen devices that engineers are studying to determine vulnerabilities or methods to breach the central system?

EC, your assurances are simply not enough!

You sat and allowed criminals to steal Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) laptops at your headquarters under CCTV surveillance.

Sad to note that the Electoral Commission itself has become a crime scene!

The second person was arrested over the weekend in the Northern region. The case is in relation to illegal Transfer of voters.

We shall not rest, we shall not falter, we shall not relent until all the election criminals have been exposed.

Meanwhile, once again, I urge Parliament to favourably consider NDC’s petition to the Speaker of Parliament requesting for an investigation 🔎 of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

As I said recently, three (3) public fora and demonstrations loading…

Vote John Dramani Mahama for well-paying jobs through the 24-hour economy initiative 👏👍
