He explained that, “This includes interviews, panel discussions, press conferences, and media briefings involving party executives and representatives.”
According to Mr Ahiagbah, “This decision follows constructive discussions between the party leadership and Media General’s Management. Both parties have agreed on ground rules to uphold higher professional standards and to ensure fair and balanced interactions that serve the public interest.”
“We look forward to renewing our partnership with Media General as we work to strengthen Ghana’s democracy,” he wrote.
The NPP boycotted Media General’s platforms- TV3, 3 FM, 3news, Onua TV, Onua FM, Onuaonline, Akoma FM and Connect FM in the lead up to the 2024 elections.Remove ads
The relation between the party and the media house degenerated to the point where journalists covering NPP assignments were threatened and sometimes assaulted.
At a point a microphone belonging to TV3 was pushed away from the high table.
