Subject: Resolution by the Central Committee to Address Party Leadership Matters and the Way Forward.

Date: 16th April, 2026. Venue: Party National Headquarters

The Central Committee of the Convention People’s Party, having duly convened on the stated date, undertook comprehensive deliberations on matters pertaining to the national leadership of the Party. Upon careful examination of all presentations, reports, and stakeholder submissions, the Committee hereby formally resolves as follows:

Approval / Adoption:
That the Party’s Sixteen Regional Chairmen constitutes the National Leadership to end the current leadership chaos, and take the Party through the few months of Party reorganization ahead to elect substantive Party Executives at all levels.

Implementation Measures:

That Five Working Committees are hereby formed to perform specific duties with some appointed Comrades to head the Committees as follows:

  • Head of Operations and Special Duties: Comrade Opare Addo
    • Head of Strategy, Planning, and Evaluation: Comrade Nana Mireku Tumi
    • Head of Organization: Comrade Galo Emmanuel
    • Head of Legal, Arbitration, and Discipline: Comrade Wayo-Ghanamannti
    • Head of Publicity and Communication: Comrade Ali Dayinday Salifu
  • Financial / Resource Allocation:
    That all budgetary and resource commitments shall be developed and implemented by the Regional Chairmen.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
    That the five committees shall establish appropriate mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the progress of party development across the regions.
  • Further Action:
    That periodic follow-up meetings, reporting, and reviews shall be conducted as necessary.
  • Conclusion
    The Committee reaffirms its commitment to the organizational goals and guiding principles of the Convention People’s Party and urges all relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective and full implementation of this resolution.
