A CONDOLENCE VISIT TO FORMER GHANAIAN PRESIDENT KUFOUR

Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka over the weekend was in the Aburi home of former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor on a condolence visit on the passing of the former Ghanaian First Lady, Theresa Kufuor.

On Prof Soyinka’s entourage were Ivor Agyeman-Dior (second left) a former Special Advisor to President Kufuor and Dr Wale Okediran ( third left) the Secretary General of the Pan African Writers Association.

Theresa Aba Kufuor, the wife of the second President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, died on October 1 2023 at the age of 87.

A retired nurse and midwife, Madam Theresa passed away after more than 60 years marriage to her husband.

Wole Soyinka, a long- term friend of the Kufuors had a few years ago, spent some time in the couple’s Aburi home during the writing of his latest book: CHRONICLES.

As Ghanaians mourn the loss of Theresa Aba Kufuor, they will remember her contributions and legacy with gratitude.

May her soul rest in perfect peace.
