GHANA TO HOST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON AIDS AND STIs IN AFRICA IN 2025

Director of the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa, Luc Armand Bodea has announced that Ghana will host the twenty-third edition of the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Society for AIDS in Africa summit held in Accra, he expressed delight with Ghana winning the bid to host next year’s event slated for December 3 to 8 2025.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and announcement of the Ghana as the Host Country for ICASA 2025 was concluded on October 2, 2024 under the leadership of President Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra.

In light of this, Society for Aids in Africa held a press conference at the Ghana Aids commission to inform the general public, especially the media on ICASA 2025 which will be organized in Ghana from December 3-8 2025 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Director of the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA), Luc Armand Bodea expressed optimism over Ghana winning the bid to stage next year’s event.

“The last conference we organized was in Zimbabwe and more than eight thousand people attended. To organize this event is through a bidding system, and the Ghana government bided to host the next ICASA 2025. He said”

Programme manager of the National AIDS and STIs Control programme, of the Ghana Health Service Dr. Stephen Ayisi Addo corroborated the earlier assertion.

Society for AIDS in Africa (SAA) is a Pan African non-for –profit organization founded in 1989 by a group of African Scientists activists and advocates in response to the HIV epidemic.

The organization envisions ending the HIV and AIDS pandemic and mitigating the impact of other emerging diseases in Africa.
