Issac Boamah Amanquah who is the Nkwanta South municipal forestry director stated in an interview that before a forest can be well protected then the communities surrounding the forest have said to themselves to protect it.
According to Mr. Boamah, there are Forest guides but to protect a forest, it is a collective responsibility, therefore communities should be willing to support because they benefits from the forest.

He also added that, people should go to the any forestry for the seedlings so the we can help build the country together.
Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi, the MCE of Nkwanta South, has made a strong appeal to the people of Nkwanta South to actively participate in the ongoing Tree for Life initiative led by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. In an interview with Samali Abdul Razak a broadcast journalist, he emphasized the critical importance of protecting our forests for the future of Ghana. The MCE urged everyone to cooperate and support this noble cause, warning that anyone caught cutting down trees illegally will face severe sanctions and punishment.
He also encouraged each individual to plant at least one tree to help restore and preserve our environment. By working together, he believes that the community can make a significant impact, develop Ghana, and create a legacy of environmental consciousness. Let us all take responsibility and make our forests safe, ensuring a greener and healthier future for generations to come.

Nana Kowura Odamba II, Paramount Chief of Ntrubo traditional area and host of the launching of the Tree For Life project, has called on the youth to get more involved in the agriculture sector. He emphasized that increased involvement in agriculture can help reduce unemployment and create more job opportunities.
The chief also reminded everyone that as natives of the Oti Region, we must be very careful about how we cut down trees and destroy the sacred forests, which provide us with fresh air and a healthy environment. He warned that anyone caught cutting down trees illegally will face strong punishment.
Additionally, he urged everyone to plant at least one tree to help protect our environment and ensure a better future for all.
