DaysofPal- Tribal leaders and prominent community figures across the Gaza Strip have issued an urgent appeal to international mediators, calling for immediate action to address the worsening humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing Israeli genocide.
The appeal was presented in a petition during a tribal conference titled “On the Path of Peace and National Unity.”
Signed by tribal elders, clan leaders, and local representatives, the petition urged key regional and international actors to intervene without delay.
Those addressed include U.S. President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and international mediator Nikolay Mladenov, along with other parties involved in ceasefire negotiations.
The petition highlighted the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, citing widespread destruction, heavy civilian casualties, and mass displacement resulting from the ongoing war.
It said hundreds of thousands of Palestinians remain without adequate shelter and are facing increasingly dire living conditions amid severe shortages of food, medicine, fuel, and other essential supplies.
The signatories called on mediators and guarantors to exert maximum pressure to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement and to advance its agreed phases under international supervision.
They also urged an immediate and permanent ceasefire, an end to the Israeli blockade and starvation policies, and the safe, sustained delivery of humanitarian assistance, including food, medicine, fuel, and shelter materials, alongside measures to ensure the protection of civilians.
The petition further stressed the need to launch reconstruction efforts and create the conditions necessary for displaced Palestinians to return safely to their homes.
The tribal leaders said the crisis requires urgent and practical action by mediators to end the suffering in Gaza, expressing hope that decisive international intervention would save lives and prevent further deterioration.
Despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect in October 2025, the petition said Israeli occupation authorities have continued to violate its terms through ongoing military operations and restrictions that have further worsened humanitarian conditions across the Gaza Strip.
