DaysofPal- Amnesty International has revealed that India has been complicit in Israeli violations of international law in the Gaza Strip, citing extensive arms exports to Israeli occupation authorities since the outbreak of the Israeli genocidal war in October 2023.
In a report titled “Made in India: The Supply of Weapons and Ammunition to Israel,” the organization said its investigation documented 2,596 shipments of weapons and ammunition from Indian companies to the Israeli military between Oct. 7, 2023, and Nov. 30, 2025.
According to the report, the exports included at least 390,516 military-grade small arms and 564,970 rounds of explosive ammunition.
The shipments also reportedly included 155mm high-explosive artillery shells supplied to Israeli defence company Elbit Systems, as well as explosive warheads for SkyStriker loitering munitions.
The investigation also found that India exported 298 components for armoured vehicles to companies supplying the Israeli military.
Amnesty noted that three of the companies involved in these exports are wholly owned by the Indian government.
Amnesty International Secretary General Agnès Callamard said Indian authorities could not claim ignorance of the legal risks associated with such transfers, particularly in light of the provisional measures issued by the International Court of Justice in relation to the war in Gaza.
The organization warned that continuing these exports under such circumstances could amount to complicity in violations of international law.
Amnesty called on the Indian government to immediately halt all transfers of arms and related components to Israeli occupation authorities, accede to the Arms Trade Treaty, and support efforts to establish a global arms embargo on parties to the conflict in order to prevent further serious violations.
The report adds to growing international scrutiny of arms transfers linked to the war in Gaza and their potential legal and humanitarian implications. Indian authorities have not publicly responded to the report’s findings.
