Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang was joined by the Defence Minister Hon. Omane Boamah, Minister for the Interior Hon. Muntaka Mubarak and other officials of government for the 77th Anniversary of the 28th February 1948 Christianburg Crossroad Shooting at the Nationalism Park, Osu in Accra.

The flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony is held annualy to honour and remember the three ex-servicemen, Sergeant Adjetey, Corporal Attipoe and Private Odartey who were brutally murdered in 1948 by the colonial police whilst marching to the Osu Castle to present a petition to the then Governor, Sir Gerald Creasy.
