Your Excellency,

STATEMENT OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE OF CUBA

The Socialist Forum of Ghana (SFG) congratulates the hundreds of thousands of Cubans who have poured
into the streets in defence of the revolution and against the aggressive machinations of imperialism and its
local lackeys.
These brave Cubans; men and women; young and old, clearly understand that the difficulties they encounter
in their daily lives are the results of decades of economic blockade imposed on them by the United States of
America. They know that in spite of this illegal blockade, the people under the leadership of the Communist
Party have managed to build for themselves a social infrastructure which is the envy of the world.
In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic many countries in the world have depended on Cuban health expertise.
Even in some leading capitalist states, including Italy, citizens have hailed Cuban interventions and Cuban
doctors have achieved hero or heroine status.
The Cuban people are fully aware of the source of their difficulties. They know that the way out of their
problems is the defeat of imperialism and the eventual lifting of the illegal blockade imposed by the United
States of America.
The Socialist Forum of Ghana unreservedly condemns the recent provocations against Cuba by US
imperialism and its local collaborators. We are convinced that the people of Cuba will be victorious and that
the actions of imperialism will come to nothing.
We extend our full solidarity to the Government and people of Cuba in these difficult times.
Victory is certain.
