Hot VIDEO: Supreme Court judge called some NDC MPs to vote for Mike Ocquaye for money – Muntaka

The Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Hon Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka has alleged that a Supreme Court Judge tried to persuade some Members of Parliament from the NDC to vote for Prof Mike Aaron Ocquaye.

The former Minority Chief Whip, was discussing the incidents that occurred during the election of the Speaker of the 8th Parliament of Ghana with Emepha Apaw on Joy News.

He commended the NDC Members of Parliament whose resistance, loyalty and hard work got Right Hon Alban Sumana Bagbin elected Speaker of the 8th Parliament.

He however express worry, about the chaotic scenes that characterised the election processes. Mubarak Muntaka further explained, that the Supreme Court judge reached out to an NDC female MP to vote for NPP’s nominee, Prof Mike Ocquaye.
He also alleged that the judge promised to offer some material inducements like providing free fuel for the NDC MP for the next 4 years and sponsoring her children’s education.

Hon Muntaka promised, that the leadership of the NDC caucus in parliament would in due course, address the media and put out details of all such engagements and name the judge involved.
