Hamas Movement has denounced on Friday President of the International Football Association (FIFA) Gianni Infantino’s participation in the opening of Israel’s so-called “Museum of Tolerance.”

The Israeli museum was forcibly built on the ancient Islamic cemetery of “Ma’man Allah” in Jerusalem, which dates back to the 11th century.

“The participation of the FIFA President in this event is a blatant bias towards the occupation,” the group’s spokesman, Abdel Latif al-Qanou, said.

He further considered the move as a provocation to the Palestinians that totally disregards their ongoing suffering.

The FIFA President’s participation in this event violates the principles of the statute of FIFA, al-Qanou added.
