ZIMOPAS SADC ANTI SANCTIONS DAY SOLIDARITY MESSAGE 25TH OCTOBER 2021

Read Time: < 1 minute

ZIMOPAS stands unwavered in solidarity with the State Of Zimbabwe ,as it endures a milestone 21 years under
collective sanctions issued by the United States of America, European Union and its cohorts. Contrary to misguided and
misleading elements these sanctions are strategic ,deliberately designed architecture meant to coerce Zimbabweans
into a mindless rabid revolt against their government .These sanctions are not only illegal but immoral, heinous and
unjustifiable under precepts of modern international law.

Despite the challenges Zimbabwe continues to face we are encouraged by Zimbabwe’s resilience as it commemorates
the 2021 edition of Anti Sanctions Day under the theme :”FRIEND TO ALL ENEMY TO NONE: FORGING AHEAD AND
ENHANCING INNOVATION AND PRODUCTIVITY IN THE ADVERSITY OF SANCTIONS”.As we forge ahead in this
fight may we be reminded through the words of Martin Luther King JNR that,” the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. ”We implore the people of Zimbabwe to look to each other and to their natural endowments as the single most potent source and sustenance of resilience .

We reaffirm our support to Zimbabwe ,and to the 29 nations across the globe who face the same horrendous restrictions.
SANCTIONS MUST GO!!!
