What Kind Of Madness Is This?

Shlomit Sufa,Israeli Ambassador to Ghana

By Abena Osegu Boateng

A woman called Shlomit Sufa, is said to be the Israeli Ambassador to Ghana and she is spitting loads of nonsense.
In an interview described as “Upcoming on GhanaWeb” she insists that there should be no ceasefire in Israel’s aggression in Palestine because any such arrangement will enable Hamas to come back strong.
This woman has managed to escape reality and perhaps for her what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank must be nothing more than a blockbuster movie.

For heavens sake , somebody must tell this heartless woman that close to 13,000 people have died over the last 31 days and that about 70 per cent of the dead are innocent women and children.

The official line she unashamedly repeats is that, those who have died in Palestine were being used as human shields by HAMAS.

This must imply that HAMAS fighters were hiding behind all the many civilians mostly women and children who have been cold-bloodedly murdered, some in their sleep, by the apartheid army of Israel.

If this were the case, we should be expecting that many HAMAS fighters would be captured or killed with the destruction of the shields they were hiding behind .
The truth however is that HAMAS is still more than active after 31 days of fighting and the massive destruction wrecked on Gaza by Israel with banned weapons including phosphate bombs.

Shlomit’s description of HAMAS as a terrorist organisation is laughable. Israel provided military and intelligence assistance to the apartheid regime in South Africa in its war against the nationalist movements and joined its allies in categorizing Mandela and others as terrorists.

The claim that HAMAS is a terrorist organisation only places it in the good company of Nelson Mandela and such liberators as Amilcar Cabral and Fidel.
Those who condemn HAMAS for what happened on October 7 must remember that the people of Palestine have been suffering that for 75 long years.
António Guterres, the UN Secretary General was right when he said that “October 7 did not happen in a vacuum.”

This ambassador would have been sent packing home a long time ago if Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was the President of Ghana.
Fortunately for her, Ghana’s current President is Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo remains blind to the fact that his colleagues in South Africa and several Latin American countries are breaking diplomatic relations with the apartheid state of Israel.

Nana still says that Ghana stands firmly with Israel even as it commits genocide.
The people of Ghana will not be part of this madness! Nana speaks for himself and himself alone.
