Vice President Bawumia cast his ballot at the Kperiga Presby JHS ‘A’ Polling Station at Walewale in the North East Region, at about 8: 20am.
He was the 11th person to cast his vote at the polling station.
About 75,501 registered voters are expected to cast their votes at 161 polling stations across the Walewale constituency.
Speaking after voting, Dr Bawumia was confident of a smooth, peaceful exercise which he said would affirm the wishes and choice of the citizenry.
He urged the public to come out and vote since it was their civic responsibility. “When you finish voting you go and rest and wait for the counting in the evening, it is a democratic process but it is not about fighting. Let’s all conduct ourselves to ensure an incident free election” he counseled.
