US Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the administration of Joe Biden, the current president of the United States, considered the West Bank land occupied by Israel.
“It is a historic fact that Israel occupied the West Bank and Gaza after the war of 1967,” Ned Price, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated.
“The Ministry’s annual report about human rights described the West Bank as occupied land as it used the term of occupation in the context,” Price said.
He confirmed that this is a constant position of the former governments.
Until Donald Trump took the reins in 2017, the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs used to specify a part in its annual report entitled “Israel and occupied lands.”
This address changed in 2018 into “Israel, West Bank, and Gaza” and the same title had been used in the report issued last Tuesday.
