TRADE UNION CONGRESS ABOUT WATER SUPPLY AND ILLEGAL MINING(GALAMSEY)

Read Time: < 1 minute

WATER
The Trades Union Congress (#TUC) of Ghana is so very deeply concerned about the water supply situation in the country and has linked the problem of limited access to portable water to illegal mining.

Secretary–General, Joshua Ansah on a visit to the GWC Kwanyaku Headworks in the Central Region and the Anum Apapam community in the Ayensuano District in the Eastern Region made an urgent call to the Mahama administration to deal with the problem.

He said, “The situation is deeply troubling and the unchecked pollution from illegal mining is pushing several water treatment plants across the country to the brink of collapse”.

Who will dispute what Comrade Joshua Ansah is saying?
