Today marks the solemn remembrance of the 59th anniversary of the overthrow of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, a global icon whose dedication to the cause of Ghana’s independence and the empowerment of the African continent continues to reverberate through the annals of history.

His visionary leadership and tireless advocacy for self-determination ignited a flame of inspiration that transcended borders and generations.

The tragic coup that ousted Dr. Nkrumah from power and ultimately led to his untimely demise in a foreign land remains a stark reminder of the challenges faced by transformative African leaders in their pursuit of a brighter future for their people.

In the words of poet Adjei Agyei-Baah, Dr. Nkrumah was “blinded for his vision, and crippled for his movement,” yet he remains eternally enshrined as “Africa’s man of the millennium,” a towering figure whose influence transcends time and space.

As we reflect on Dr. Nkrumah’s enduring legacy, let us draw strength from his example and recommit ourselves to the noble ideals for which he so fervently fought.

May Dr. Nkrumah’s legacy continue to inspire us, challenge us, and unite us in our shared journey toward a brighter future for ourselves and the future generations yet unborn.
KWAME NKRUMAH NEVER DIES!

Hon.Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah,MP
(Minister for Lands and Natural Resources)
