ACIS-M SALUTES ICAP: THE HEARTBEAT OF THE CUBAN REVOLUTION @ 60!
We of the Amilcar Cabral Ideological School (ACIS-M) Movement salute the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) for its 60th Anniversary celebration. We acknowledge that the ICAP Anniversary comes in the wake of the 62nd Anniversary triumph of the Cuban revolution, which will be January 1st 2021
We specifically appreciate ICAP for the bond of friendship the body has extended to solidarity movements across the world. In particular, we are inspired by ICAP’s work in the annual MAYO International Brigade, its coordination of the Continental Meetings of Solidarity with Africa, whose 6th edition was hosted by Nigeria in September 2019 and its other invaluable works in promoting and defending the values and principles of the Cuban revolution against imperialism.
On a momentous occasion as this, we salute the heroic sacrifices of the Cuban Five, in which the current President of ICAP – Fernando Gonzalez of the unjustly imprisoned for more than 15years in the US before they were released. It was the persistent resistance from Cuba and the corresponding international campaigns championed by ICAP that compelled US imperialism to free the FIVE!
As we celebrate with ICAP today., we enjoin solidarity movements across the Pan-African world to join forces with ICAP in the renewed campaigns to END the criminal US Economic Blockade against Cuba. With ICAP, the Cuban revolution will forever outlive the US imperialist aggression!
AND to all our comrades in ICAP who continue to work selflessly and tiredlessly, accept our warm regards and spiritual blessing from MAYIBUYE (Mother) AFRICA!
