Statement: UDS CONDEMNS ISRAELI AGGRESSION AGAINST IRAN

Read Time: 2 minutes

The Union of Democratic Socialists (UDS) condemns, in the strongest terms, the aggression of the Zionist State of Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran on the night of June 12-13, 2025, in flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international law.

The Zionist State of Israel, possessing more than 400 nuclear weapons in the Middle East, has assumed the undue role of regional policeman and attacked a country without nuclear weapons. It perpetrated its barbaric attack at a time when negotiations were underway between its accomplice and instigator of this heinous aggression, the United States of America, and the Iranian authorities, with the next round to be held in Oman.

The Union of Democratic Socialists (UDS) points out that the whimsical decision of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), even though unfavorable to the Islamic Republic of Iran, never gave the Zionist State of Israel a mandate to attack Iran.

The UDS also denounces the betrayal of certain Arab states such as Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria against the Arab cause by providing assistance to the Zionist aggressors.

The UDS completely disapproves of the hypocrisy of the imperialist countries, particularly the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and France, which encouraged and aided the Zionist State of Israel in its belligerent adventure against Iran.

The Union of Socialist Democrats, UDS, finally renews its friendship, in the name of anti-imperialist solidarity, with the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people at this time when they are going through a trying period.

Done in Kinshasa, June 13, 2025.

THE SECRETARY GENERAL,

Cyrille MWAUKA MASIMANGO
Secretary-Rapporteur of the Anti-Fascist International of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
