The Socialist Movement of Ghana (SMG) will mark the 56th anniversary of the overthrow of the
Nkrumah Government with a public forum on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 5:00pm.
The event will be held under the broad theme “56 YEARS AFTER THE OVERTHROW OF
NKRUMAH; THE STATE OF THE GHANAIAN ECONOMY”.
We are by this letter respectfully inviting you to participate in this year’s event. The speakers
will be Comrade Kwesi Pratt, Jnr, General Secretary of the SMG and Professor Jane Naana
Opoku Agyemang, first female University Vice-Chancellor in Ghana and the 2020 Vice
Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The event which will be held at the new headquarters of the Socialist Movement of Ghana, next
door to the Nogahill Hotel on the George Walker Bush Highway will be chaired by Comrade
Kyeretwie Opoku, Convener of the SMG.
We will be highly honoured if you accept this invitation.
