The National Higway Patrol Unit of the Ghana Police Service, through a special intelligence operation, has arrested suspect Ernest Mohamed Adjiri for the unlawful possession of narcotic drugs in the Greater Accra Region.
The operation, carried out by a team of Police officers, led to the retrieval of one hundred and twenty (120) slabs of compressed dried leaves suspected to be narcotic drugs, concealed in three (3) fertilizer sacks on board a Hyundai i10 taxi cab with registration number GW 9832-22. The suspect during interrogation admitted ownership of the items.
The suspect according to police statement issued on 2nd June,2025 is currently in Police custody and will be put before the court soon.
