Police arrest NDC member for threatening mayhem and arson in the 2024 elections

Azubila Salam has been arrested for threatening mayhem in the 2024 general elections

The Police have arrested a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Azubila Salam for threatening mayhem in the 2024 elections at a campaign event in a video which has since gone viral.

Mr. Azubila Salam was heard in the video urging members of the NDC to burn the homes of NPP members they know and also cause injury to members of the party they come into contact with, with any weapon they could find during the elections.

Police sources disclosed that Azubila Salam was arrested by the Tema regional Police Command on Tuesday 27th August 2024 and charged with offensive conduct conducive to the breach of public peace.

He will appear before the court on Thursday 29th August 2024.
