PNP Youth Wing Commends Mahama, Advocates United Youth Agenda

Read Time: < 1 minute

The Youth Wing of the People’s National Party (PNP) has extended warm congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama for creating a dedicated Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment. The initiative, described as progressive by the group, is seen as a bold step toward addressing the pressing challenges faced by Ghanaian youth and securing their future.

In a statement signed by the National Youth Organiser, Muniru Mohammed, the PNP Youth Wing also lauded the appointment of the Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, whom they described as a passionate advocate for youth-focused policies. The statement expressed confidence in the Minister’s ability to lead transformative change, given his track record in youth leadership and empowerment.

However, the PNP Youth Wing cautioned against politicizing the ministry, urging the Minister to ensure it serves all Ghanaian youth irrespective of their political affiliations. The group emphasized the importance of unity among the youth to foster job creation, national development, and an inclusive society.

The statement reaffirmed the PNP Youth Wing’s commitment to supporting and collaborating with institutions and initiatives aimed at uplifting young people. It called for a nationalistic spirit that prioritizes Ghana’s collective progress over divisive political allegiances.

The PNP Youth Wing concluded by pledging its full cooperation with the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment, expressing optimism that it will champion the aspirations of all Ghanaian youth.
