Read Time: 2 minutes

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkwanta South, Hon. Antwi, has embarked on a visit to the Nkwanta market, engaging in a dialogue with market vendors and business leaders.

The purpose of this visit was to solicit feedback and identify areas for improvement that could contribute to the growth and prosperity of the market.

During his interaction with Newsmen , the MCE elaborated on his vision for the market’s development.

He highlighted the ongoing implementation of projects designed to enhance the market’s infrastructure and functionality. Hon. Antwi emphasized the importance of collaboration between the municipality and market stakeholders, underscoring that collective effort would be essential for the success of these initiatives.

In his address, Hon. Antwi urged the business leaders and market vendors of Nkwanta South to encourage their peers to fulfill their civic duty by paying market tolls and taxes. He emphasized that these contributions are vital for the assembly’s ability to generate Internal Generated Funds (IGF), which are crucial for funding development projects within the municipality.

Hon. Antwi underscored the importance of these projects in improving the lives of the residents of Nkwanta South.

The MCE also expressed his commitment to fostering peace and unity within the Nkwanta township, emphasizing the need for a harmonious environment to support economic and social progress. This commitment is essential for creating a conducive atmosphere for business growth and development.

Echoing the MCE’s sentiments, Madam Dora, the market queen mother, pledged her support to the assembly and tax collectors in ensuring that all market vendors pay their taxes.

She acknowledged the importance of revenue mobilization through tax collection as a catalyst for positive development within the municipality. This collaborative approach, marked by the MCE’s engagement with market stakeholders and the market queen mother’s commitment to supporting tax collection, suggests a promising path for the development of the Nkwanta South market.

The visit by the Nkwanta South MCE to the market has set the stage for a collaborative approach to market development.

By fostering a sense of shared responsibility and prioritizing revenue generation, the municipality can create a more vibrant and prosperous market that benefits both vendors and the community as a whole.

The commitment to peace, unity, and tax compliance will be essential in driving this development and improving the lives of the residents of Nkwanta South.
