NATIONAL ENDOWMENT DEMOCRACY GETS FUNDING DIRECTLY FROM THE US GOVERNMENT

While NED is a private organization, they get funding directly from the US gov as well as other organizations. So NED’s funding organizations in other countries is direct meddling in those countries affairs, under the guise of “non-governmental” aid!

“NED is a private, non-profit, grant-making organization that receives an annual appropriation from the U.S. Congress through the Department of State. Although NED’s continued funding is dependent on the continued support of the White House and Congress, it is NED’s independent Board of Directors that controls how the appropriation is spent.”

“NED raises limited private contributions from foundations, corporations and individuals to support some of its non-grant related activities, including the Endowment’s annual Democracy Award and other public events, the Global Assemblies of the World Movement for Democracy, and some of the activities of NED’s International Forum for Democratic Studies. NED’s Journal of Democracy also earns subscription income that provides resources to help support democracy promotion activities, including the World Movement for Democracy.”
