Lifecard Academy has officially launched its 9 to 5 Compendium Training Initiative, a program aimed at reshaping workplace culture and equipping professionals with the right mindset for greater productivity and fulfillment.
Inspired by the book 9 to 5 Is Not a Scam by Mrs. Grace Ofure Ibhakhomu, the initiative challenges misconceptions about traditional employment and highlights how individuals can use their careers as a pathway to financial growth, skill development, and long-term success. The official media launch took place at the National Banking College in Accra.
Transforming Mindsets for Workplace Success
At the launch, Mrs. Grace Ofure Ibhakhomu, CEO of Lifecard Group, stressed the need for a shift in how 9-to-5 jobs are perceived. She highlighted that negative attitudes toward structured employment often hinder creativity and productivity. The training initiative aims to address these limitations by helping professionals adopt a growth-oriented mindset and develop essential skills for success.
The book 9 to 5 Is Not a Scam is not available for sale and can only be accessed through participation in the training. This approach reinforces its purpose as more than just a book but a tool for professional transformation. The program also promotes workplace structures that support productivity in flexible environments while encouraging organizations to align employees’ roles with their strengths and passions.
The initiative also calls for greater investment in training programs, particularly within the civil service, to improve job satisfaction and efficiency.
A Program for Employees and Employers
Nkechi Akunyili, CEO of Access View Africa and a Lifecard strategic partner, explained that the training program is designed for both employees and employers. It seeks to transform workplace culture by encouraging organizations to focus on employee growth and development rather than just output.
She outlined the three available training packages:
