Jordan’s King calls for preventing Israel from taking unilateral steps

Jordan’s King Abdullah II has emphasized the importance of preventing any unilateral Israeli measures that would destabilize the region.

This came during a meeting held on Monday in Washington between King Abdullah and US national security advisor Jake Sullivan, according to Jordan News Agency (Petra).

The two sides discussed a number of regional issues, especially the Palestinian question, where the Jordanian King stressed the pivotal role of the US administration in advancing peace efforts on the basis of the two-state solution.

They also talked about the need to find political solutions to the region’s crises, in addition to the regional and international efforts to combat terrorism within a holistic approach.

US president Joe Biden on Monday held White House talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah, who started a visit to the country recently.
