Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has said that he does not support the pressure that was mounted on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by the Minority and Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin to sign the anti-gay bill when the matter had been sent to court.
Kpebu explained that per the laws of Ghana, when a matter is before the court, no one is allowed to act in ways that render that cease useless.
On Thursday, March 21, the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, refuted claims that he has received an interlocutory injunction in the case brought forth by Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Etse K. Dafeamekpor.
Mr Dame clarified that he has not been served with any legal documents pertaining to such court proceedings.
