Hamas congratulates Algeria on finalizing parliamentary polls

Head of Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, has congratulated Algeria’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on finalizing the legislative polls. 

In a letter sent to the Algerian President, Hamas chief said: “We, in Hamas Movement, are pleased to send you our sincerest congratulations for concluding the legislative elections and for the success of the Algerian people in freely electing their parliamentary representatives democratically and electing Ibrahim Boughali the Speaker of the Parliament.
 
Haniyeh also congratulated Tebboune for appointing Aymen Benabderrahmane as the Prime Minister of Algeria and for the formation of the new government, wishing the newly appointed officials success in steering the country towards more prosperity and fulfillment of the aspirations of the Algerian people. 

In the letter, the top Hamas official also expressed his thanks and gratitude for Algeria’s historic, honorable positions in support of the Palestinian cause, including the enormous rejection of normalizing ties with the Israeli occupation. 

The Hamas chief added that the Palestinians always look forward to more support for their freedom struggle and steadfastness in facing the Israeli occupation, inclusive of endeavors to liberate occupied Palestine and establish the independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty and Jerusalem as its capital.
