Darmstadt fans vote Ghana defender Patric Pfeiffer as best player in win over Hamburger SV

Pfeiffer, who opened his first goal for the club in the 2-1 victory, received 118 of the total 401 votes to win the fans’ choice award.

Pfeiffer opened the scoring after four minutes and Darmstadt doubled their lead through forward Phillip Tietz.

Ghana forward Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer scored the consolation goal for Hamburger.

The game saw three players sent off including Ransford-Yeboah for a bad challenge. 

Pfeiffer, 23, moved from Hamburger to Darmstadt in 2019. He performed a knee slide to celebrate his goal against his former team.
