COVID-19: Afram Plains North MP Supports Teachers In Donkorkrom

Member of Parliament (MP) for Afram Plains North Constituency in the Eastern Region, Hon. Betty Nana Afua Krosbi Mensah has donated loads of items to private school teachers in Donkorkrom within the constituency.

The items donated include 30 bags of Royal Aroma Rice, 10 boxes of oil, 4 boxes of sanitizers and an amount of GH¢3,000 to the private school teachers in the constituency.

The initiative, according to the MP, was to ameliorate the plight of private school teachers who are still facing financial challenges due to coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The legislature admonished all private school teachers as well as the youths not to allow politics to divide them.

“We may be divided prior to elections but we must all come together and fight for the betterment of our beloved constituency after elections,” the MP stated.

The MP used the opportunity to express her appreciation to all those who helped in her re-election to serve as the MP for the second term and also thanked her army of soldiers and NDC executives for securing her a resounding victory.

She disclosed that she has initiated apprenticeship programmes for the youth in the area as part of measures to help promote youth participation in the development of the constituency.

The MP noted that that she together with her team had a workshop programme for all private school teachers in the district to educate them on the history of Afram Plains, the role of the youth in the development of the district and the way forward.

The event which was graced by some NDC Constituency Executives included; Hon. Taidu Mohammed, Constituency Secretary, Mr. Philip Adinkra, Constituency Organizer), Hon. Kate Mawusi, Constituency Women Organiser, Mr. Alex Agbenu, Deputy Secretary, Madam. Mabel Srem-Sai, Deputy Women Organiser and Mr. Latif Hamza among others.
