Auditor-General has uncovered an amount of 4.5 Million Cedis of FSHS fund was diverted to hold training workshop.

The Auditor-General has uncovered the misapplication and irregularities of Free Senior High School Funds worth more than 19 million cedis at the ministry of education and the Free SHS secretariat.

According to the Auditor-General, officials of FSHS secretariat and GES violated section 7 of the Public Financial Management Act, which mandate principals spending officer in every entity to ensure proper use of the fund.

The funds have been diverted from the Free Senior High School Secretariat. In one instance, 4.5 million cedis was diverted to hold a training workshop.
