#Roel Gilad (@RoeyGilad), the #Ambassador of #Israel to #Ghana is most arrogant and is showing gross disrespect to the #Government and people of #Ghana. At a breakfast session with carefully selected #Ghanaian editors, the Ambassador lashed out at the Government of #Ghana for not serving the best interests of the people. Gilad’s beef is that Ghana abstained from #voting on the issue of whether or not #Iran is complying with the International Atomic Energy Agency (#IAEA) standards. His arrogance knew no bounds as he called on Ghana to rethink her non-aligned status and to break ranks with the #African Union (#AU)and the #Arab League. A report in the #DailyGuide (
@DailyGuideGH) of today quotes Gilad saying, “It would be better to be balanced in such international issues and that Ghana should adopt a foreign policy that would be independent of the #AU and the Non-Aligned Movement since the world is changing”. It is important for the #Government of #Ghana to ask itself what gives Gilad and other diplomats like him the effrontery to be talking down on us and to go to the extent of suggesting that it is okay to betray the African Union. One of the reasons for this blatant disregard for Ghana’s sovereignty is the fact that these diplomats walk free after insulting us and our leaders. Will or can the #Mahama (
@JDMahama) administration make an example of Gilad by sending him home immediately?
